Celebrating Women’s History Month: Mary Pat Matheson

Since 2002, Mary Pat Matheson has directed all operations for the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and under her leadership, the non-profit organization has actively expanded fundraising, education, marketing, business administration, horticulture, and conservation efforts, with a rapidly growing membership base of more than 40,000.

Matheson has been the driving force behind the Garden’s growing attendance for more than 16 years, engaging larger and broader audiences in the Garden’s mission to educate the public on its plant and animal conservation efforts.

Once named one of 14 Women of Excellence by Business to Business magazine, Mary Pat Matheson is a true rose for the city of Atlanta.
