Charlotte Ayers: Georgia’s Own 90

In honor of our 90th anniversary, we’re recognizing 90 Georgians who have made their mark on our incredible state. In conjunction with Women’s History Month, today’s honoree is Charlotte Ayers, our former president and CEO.

During her tenure, we underwent a rebrand, changing our name from Georgia Telco to Georgia’s Own, and we reached $1.5 billion in assets. We also doubled our membership before her retirement after 41 years of service—11 of which she served as president.

Charlotte was a trailblazer in the financial service industry during her administration and her legacy remains an integral part of our history!
