Georgia’s Own 90: Chesley McNeil

In honor of our 90th anniversary, we’re recognizing 90 Georgians who have made their mark on our incredible state. Today’s the start of hurricane season, so it’s only appropriate to feature 11Alive’s weatherman, Chesley McNeil.

Chesley joined 11Alive in 2009, instantly becoming a fan favorite. He holds a BA in Mass Communications from Wesley College and a BS and MS in Geosciences from Mississippi State University.

Chesley is a member of the American Meteorology Society, the National Weather Association, and the National Association of Black Journalists. He was also named to the Severe Weather Task Force in 2013 by former Gov. Nathan Deal.
