Rhyne Howard named Female Athlete of the Year

Congratulations to Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard for being named the 2022 Catherine Neely Female Athlete of the Year in her hometown of Chattanooga, TN!

The award pays tribute to Catherine Neely, a legendary high school volleyball and basketball coach and pioneer of women’s sports at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Howard is already making a name for herself in the WNBA. She was selected by the Atlanta Dream as the first overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft. In her first year, Howard was named WNBA Rookie of the Year and a WNBA All-Star. She also set Dream franchise rookie records for total points and rebounds.
