In honor of our 90th anniversary, we’re recognizing 90 Georgians who have made their mark on our incredible state. Today, we honor Wanda Crawford, a breast cancer survivor.
Wanda missed her mammogram in 2020 but got screened in 2021 and was diagnosed with Stage II invasive ductal carcinoma. She credits her sister and support groups for helping her through recovery.
Determined to walk in the Making Strides event this year, Wanda encourages others to get regular mammograms and says, “I don’t take life for granted anymore.”
