Congrats, Zaria!

Our annual What’s Ne[x]t Scholarship awards a total of $15,000 to three deserving students who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to others, a strong academic background, and a bright vision for their future.

Featured on the sign is our third-place winner, Zaria Owens from Hampton, who received $2,000 in scholarship money. Zaria is attending High Point University in the fall. She hopes to become a physician assistant to help people in rural areas receive access to healthcare. Zaria started a non-profit for children and families in need called Charlie’s Hope Foundation. Through this, she hosted a back-to-school drive-thru and collected backpacks filled with school supplies—donating more than 200 backpacks.
